CSR Advisory Services

  • As regulatory scrutiny of CSR intensifies and stakeholder expectations evolve, the gap between organisations that manage their social investment strategically and those that manage it administratively has never been more consequential. Our work with corporate partners spans the full operational arc of a well-governed CSR function, from mandate definition and portfolio design through programme management, concurrent monitoring, and statutory compliance.

Project Management Unit (PMU) Support Services
Project Management Unit (PMU) Support Services

Corporate CSR portfolios have grown considerably in scale and ambition, yet the internal management infrastructure supporting them has rarely kept pace. The result is a persistent gap between what organisations commit to delivering and what their teams are structurally equipped to manage. Our embedded PMU model closes that gap, providing the operational backbone, accountability frameworks, and subject matter expertise that serious portfolio management demands across the full project lifecycle.

Assessments and Evaluations
Assessments and Evaluations

Investment decisions in the social sector are only as sound as the evidence informing them. Assessments are conducted across the full programme lifecycle, from baseline conditions that shape programme design to independent outcome evaluations and SROI analysis that translate results into evidence that is defensible, communicable, and decision-relevant.

  • Impact Assessment and Evaluation

  • Social Return on Investment (SROI)

Government Consulting and Partnerships

  • Programmes that operate in alignment with public policy achieve a depth of reach and institutional durability that standalone corporate initiatives rarely can. Through advisory and implementation support for large-scale government collaborations, CSR investments are structured to integrate with existing development priorities and deliver at a scale commensurate with the resources committed.

Customised Research and Thought Leadership

  • Strategic decisions in the social sector require more than operational data. They require a clear, evidence-based view of the landscape, an understanding of what is working at the sector level, and the analytical foundation to act on that knowledge. Our research, policy analysis, and knowledge products equip clients and ecosystem stakeholders to navigate an increasingly complex environment.

Technology and Intelligence

  • The shift from periodic reporting to continuous programme visibility has redefined what effective oversight looks like. Integrated platforms consolidate data across geographies, automate reporting workflows, and map intervention coverage with precision, giving clients the analytical foundation to manage programmes proactively rather than reactively.

    • Real-Time Dashboards and Data Systems

    • Geospatial Intelligence (GIS)

CSR Impact Assessment

  • An Impact Evaluation study systematically examines the short- and long-term changes in a specific project location over a defined time frame. This involves mapping project activities, outputs, outcomes, and both intended and unintended impacts over time.

The study evaluates project interventions through stakeholder interaction and participation, measuring the difference the project has made in the lives of individuals, communities, institutions or organisations. It aims to understand the relevance of the project and identify areas for improvement, gathering valuable insights from grassroots-level interactions. This comprehensive approach ensures a thorough assessment of the project's effectiveness and its overall impact.

Benchmarking

  • Benchmarking is a vital process of comparing and measuring an organisation's performance, practices, or outcomes against those of industry leaders or best practices. It involves identifying standards, metrics, or benchmarks that represent the desired level of performance and then assessing how well an organisation or project measures up to these benchmarks. In the context of CSR projects, benchmarking plays a crucial role in evaluating effectiveness by providing a means to measure performance and progress against established standards or goals. By comparing key indicators, outcomes, or practices with industry benchmarks or recognised best practices, benchmarking helps organisations assess their performance objectively, identify areas for improvement, and make informed decisions to enhance impact. Benchmarking helps stakeholders understand the strengths and weaknesses of the CSR project, identify innovative approaches, and implement strategies to maximise impact and outcomes. Overall, benchmarking provides valuable insights and actionable data to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement in CSR initiatives.

This residency brought together 30 top leaders from leading global corporations to build capacity among CSR and Sustainability leaders. The focus was on the evolving narrative of climate change and related themes, including Nature-based Solutions (NbS), Carbon Credits, and Green Credits.

Uniquely, this event marked the first instance in the sector where such a distinguished group of stalwarts and leaders participated as an audience, eager to learn and engage rather than share their narratives. The Godavari Initiative

  • The Godavari River, India's second-longest, is a vital artery running through the heart of the nation, particularly in the Godavari 1 basin from Nashik to Nanded in Maharashtra. This basin sustains vast agricultural lands, irrigating crops like sugarcane, rice, and cotton, significantly contributing to Maharashtra's food production. It also provides drinking water to numerous towns and villages and is crucial for hydroelectric power generation. Recognizing its importance, the Collective Action Initiative for Sustainable and Equitable Management of the Godavari 1 River Basin (TGI) seeks to create a collaborative framework for sustainable water use.

TGI aims to foster multi-stakeholder partnerships, leveraging the strengths of various partners to benefit local communities, governments, and environmental groups. The initiative’s key objectives include building consciousness across stakeholders about sustainable water management and facilitating transboundary cooperation and dialogue. TGI also focuses on learning from past experiences and incorporating future aspirations into its strategies. Balancing built and natural infrastructure, such as wetlands and riparian zones, is another critical goal. Additionally, TGI emphasizes adaptive management and resilience to enhance the capacity to respond to changing conditions. Ultimately, TGI envisions a thriving Godavari 1 River Basin that sustains both people and nature through equitable resource allocation and collaborative action.
